OM602.962 Leaking prechambers. Is there any hope?
I found that all 5 prechambers are leaking out of the head when sprayed with soapy water. Cylinders 1 and 5 aren't too terribly bad, but 2, 3, and especially 4 are leaking bad enough to lower compression. There is rust and corrosion around the locking rings above the prechamber and some oxidation and corrosion in the holes themselves. So it's definitely crept down between the prechamber and the head. The procedure to repair this is somewhat difficult and requires a special Mercedes reamer tool, as well as shims installed. Dealer says that shims are NLA.I have the spline drive tool for installing and removing the locking rings coming, and I want to make one last effort to tighten those down before I make the diag on this issue final.
Any suggestions to address this?
Note the foaming around that injector. This is with the engine hot. When cold, it's much worse.

As far as the reamer not sure, saw the one for the glow plugs https://classicparts.mbusa.com/oem-p...r-601589005300 but dont have a part number or what not for the injectors. Probably a hard one to source. There are a ton of diesel injector reamers for benz and other diesels however most are governed by size in mm. Not sure if you could figure that out. Looks like it is more based off of the type of injector (bosch for example) and its application. One I randomly found https://www.diagnosedan.com/product/...t-ref-hu41004/ there are others similar on amazon but no idea of quality.
Not supporting any of the links just using them for info purposes.
