2.5 gallon jugs of DEF are available pretty much everywhere. If you're worried, put a spare jug in the boot. Otherwise, a decent scanner can tell you roughly what your level is.

The reserve of DEF in those cars is good for 2000-3000 miles.
That should give you plenty of time to buy some.
I just pull at the pumps located at truck stop.
Kind of making the show, as I have to make a pirouette entering on reverse, to have the DEF door on side of the pump.
Scan Gauge 3 reads the level just fine.
