I am not getting turbo boost in my 2007 om642. The actuator tests pass in Xentry. When running Y77 tests you can see it move full travel and see an increase in boost pressure. You can hear it in the engine and the exhaust. Those tests are supposed to be done in idle and when I give it a little gas slowly I can get boost pressure to rise quite a bit when the turbo is actuated. Then the computer turns it off.
Driving down the highway running Xentry actual values (check boost pressure) charge pressure positioner always stays at 5. The specified value is supposed to be >=85.
Running an actuator test the software tells me to check a wire because of the 5 reading and the actuator motion passes.
I replaced the actuator with no help.
If anyone has ideas please reach out.
I am pretty sure with the turbo boost disabled in idle and the actuator working properly I am stuck in limp mode. Is there a check list for limp mode I can go through on this machine?
Pretty sure limp mode triggers check engine light and would have codes that you can read ecspecially with xentry. Not sure on this application but from what I have experienced if the actuator is working properly then its a communication thing going to the turbo that causes lack of boost or not expected boost. Cables/sensors/or worse case ecu.
I can manually actuate the turbo actuator in Xentry. there are only three wires. B+ ground and data. The actuator is new and works and can be actuated by the car's computer. It is always at 5% unless I am testing it in xentry. It should be at 85% or higher at idle. The car's computer keeps it turned off.
There must be a reason. Is there an over-boost sensor that's giving a false signal? How about the manifold pressure sensor? I'm not familiar with that engine, but, is there another condition that would make the computer think boost should be disabled? Are you sure there are no codes stored?
