How do you remove this plastic cover that sits between the front of the engine and rad fan, have removed the two top bolts but somthing is holding it firm towards the bottom! Any advice appreciated and apologies if I've posted this in the wrong place 😊
If it’s the same plate as on my x166 that sits behind the radiator, you need to pull very hard. I was reluctant as ask dealer removal process and he said it is tight. I did successfully remove it but not without a little anxiety as I thought I was about to break it.
It's really tight. A plastic peg/protrusion on the cover that is pushed into a rubber grommet at the bottom.
I thought I'd break it when I replaced the belt/tensioner/idler on my E320.
