I recently bought a 2009 Mercedes S211 220CDI with an engine problem, the recent owner didn’t know what the fault could be. And it happened when he let the car sit for like a year. When he tried to start it, this fault was there.
The problem with the car is: it misfires, runs badly, it happens basically nothing when you press the gas pedal, when it gets hot you can rev it little better, but not over 3k rpm, the engine also just stops randomly.
I have changed the diesel in the car, and the fuel filter without any success.
I get different fault codes every time I read them, but the most recent ones is : P203D, P204F, P204C, P204D, P204E, P20D3.
Does anyone have a clue what the fault could be? Please let me know!
Could a Dpf/egr delete be a solution? I’ve planed to do that anyway today when I checked the fault codes, and had the car running, the exhaust fumes started to smell really really bad, it was like teargas when it hit my eyes, I also saw that the Dpf had left a big water mark on the ground that smelled just as bad as the smoke, I’ve never anything like that before, and I’ve owned many diesel cars, could the Egr be the problem for that issue to?
Yeah right, so what’s the benefits of that bs system? I don’t see that the car isn’t working as a benefit? I’ve owned plenty of diesel cars with Dpf/Egr delete without any problems, the only thing that happens is that you got a lot less headache, my question was if it would solve my problem?
They don’t really do emission tests on diesel cars manufactured after 2004, gasoline cars have regular emission tests, they only do Obd scan on diesel, anyway, I’ve ordered a new Egr, I will do an update when I’ve installed the new part👍🏼
So here’s an update, I’ve changed the Egr for about 3k kilometers ago, and the car runs really great now, as soon as the new Egr was installed, the car worked without any issues!
