Replacing OM642 Turbo

I have looked everywhere that my limited skills have taken me, but I cannot find a guide for removing and then installing a new turbo in my 2011 Mercedes GL350 Bluetec. Can someone please point me in a direction that does not lead to vague YouTube videos? Many thanks in advance!

Don't know about access on GL, but on my E, the job was far above "limited skills" DIYer. Did you get quote from shops?
Why you need new turbo in 1st place?

You can check any video on youtube about turbo change as long as it is an om642. The turbo procedure is always the same for all models.
IMHO it is a straight forward process, but you need to pay attention on the screws on the exhaust side. They can be tricky to be reached, because they are behind the engine and sometimes there is not a lot of space to reach those screws. I had a lengthy operation once on a ML350, because the hood compartment is just not large enough. I had to sit on the engine head and was hardly able to squeeze my hands in to reach those screws. On a CLS350CDI it was a lot smoother, because the hood is larger. Lift your hood and check if you can see the exhaust side from above once you remove the heat shield sheet metal.
Check out here at 2:12 the screws I mean:

Still at it.

Looking for some more help on this one. I have everything out except the turbo itself. The exhaust pipe that comes out of the back of the turbo, does that come in two parts? It’s in the way of one last bolt that I need to reach. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
