2014 E250 Bluetec
E250 Bluetec Exhaust tick sound
Hello y'all, I drive a 2014 E250 bluetec RWD, 90k miles. I bought the car 3 months ago and so far have put about 3k miles give or take. The car runs and drives great, however there is a noise that comes from what seems like the exhaust or emissions system within it. When starting the car, it fires up like normal and then after about 5-10 seconds, a click will start to happen. It continues to click with about 2 seconds intervals CONSISTENTLY. It never changes the pace at which it clicks. Then after about a minute it will stop. I will randomly hear it as I come to a stop or sometimes I won't. It's important to note that the sound is a "TickTick", 2 seconds, "TickTick". I first thought maybe it was some relay, then I assumed it must have to do with the emissions system. But after finding videos of the car starting from cold starts and such, I can't seem to find another that makes this noise. Thanks stay blessed!
