Must be exclusive to the Launch Edition then. Page 111 of the E Class Owners Manual only covers the steering wheel exit function.

I checked the COMAND documentation too and found nothing that addressed the exit seat function.

Finally, I asked about this function when I picked-up my car yesterday and was specifically told that the exit seat function was not available on the E550Cabrio.

How much are dealers discounting off the sticker on E350 Cabs and E550 Cabs??

I have been quoted MSRP, most consistently.
Was also quoted over MSRP, but I am not paying that.

I managed to get $1,000 off plus another $1,000 using the USAA Member Vehicle Incentive deal (which expires 30 June).

I heard from another new E550A Cabrio owner that the wind screens wil be available 15 July. These are like the ones for the CLK Cabrios that fit over the back seats.

This is strange since my dealer told me that the E cabrios didn't use these yet there are mounting holes on each side of the back seat area) also like the CLKs.

They seem like a pain if you use the back seats a lot, I find the Aircap adequate.

I just ordered almost the same car as "bogeygolfer" except with black walnut wood trim and special order black/ash interior (just like in the publicity photos). I thought that the black wood would go better with the black/ash interior than the maple. I also special ordered summer high-performance tires in place of the all-seasons it usually comes with, as I won't drive it in winter. There is a world of difference in handling. ED for Aug. 28th at the factory.
As for the exit feature, the floor model E550A at my dealership had that feature enabled. I just assumed that all E550A's would have that feature.

According to Cars.com, there are only 2 Launch Models left in the U.S.

I am speaking with one of the dealers now for a purchase that I intend on making in the next few weeks. If anyone knows of one, please give me a heads-up, as they have been out long enough that the holdback is spent and these guys are now in their pockets for flooring costs.

What prices are you seeing now on Cabs that we are (at least some of us) getting in to fall?

Just ordered an E550 Cabrio which is being built week of 9/13 and should be arriving mid/end Oct.

Best discount I was able to get was $1750 off MSRP and that was because I've made several purchases from this dealer. Also checked with several others in the NY area and they didn't want to take more than $1000 off list price.

Finally I was also able to get better deal on my trade-in as my car is immaculate has very low miles and I believe will be resold as a CPO car.

Sounds like the E Cabrio is a good candidate for Euro Delivery.

The 7 percent savings would pay for the flight, since they aren't taking much off the MSRP right now.

I got my E350 about a month ago. I told dealer colour and options. He found one on the line destined for Canada, got in 2 weeks and the got $2300 off the MSRP.

Keep in mind that the 550's are much more limited in supply. You can get a better deal on the 350's than the 550's.

But drive the 550 in "Sport" mode, and you will be glad you paid the difference!

Which model did you get $4000 off? Maybe a E350 cabrio but definitely not an E550 cabrio.

Can you share the dealer's name? Or at least what state they're giving this type of discount.

In NY Metro area I wasn't able to get more than $1750 off list. The only additional perk I got was another $1000 off cause of a corp discount I get through my employer for a total of $2750 off list.

This was because I have bought many cars from them and they continued to give me more discount everytime I purchased a new car

Ny dealers stink, I ended up going to jersey and got a great deal. If you don't mind the drive check out jersey I got mine at benzel in englewood.

Little late to go to Jersey to negotiate a new deal as my car is currently sitting in the Port of Newark waiting to be delivered to dealership. I should be picking it up later this week.

That said I did write during mid - end August to a couple of NJ dealerships to see if they could beat a selling price of $69250. and didn't get a response from any of them. Guess the E550 Cabrio is still a car dealers don't want to discount much.

Anyway my deal is done. Just waiting to pick up the car hopefully by the end of this week.
