My shop says "No", however every so often it appears that new things appear on my map that I have not seen before, however what is shown is dependent on the display size, so I could have changed the display size which made other things visible.
All in all I cannot see automatic updates as mb charges for regular updates for maps etc.

2010 E350 Coupe, 2010 GL350 Bluetec
I just received a letter from MBUSA two days ago suggesting to purchase the NAV map update for $249 for my wife's 2010 GL350BTC, which is hard drive based system. So it is definitely not free.

Depends on where you are. UK & Europe map updates are free for 5 years but by satellite? No chance. That's the thin end of a fat wedge and I hope I never see the day.
