I have an E550 cabrio with appearance pkg and love the look of my wheels. Based on MBUSA it looks like wheels are the same on Cabrio and Coupe.

The cab's rims are nicer imo.
I may be forced to buy an '11 vs waiting for the '12's as my Porsche lease has come to and end even after extending it.
I know the TT DFI engine is well worth the wait but after spending time in the '11 today I really don't need any more power (although I'd really like it
)and may be sorry I didn't/couldn't wait.Looking at an '11 550 cab that's due in soon:
* Obsidian blk/bkack
* AMG appearance
* Black ash wood (spcl order)
* Wood/leather wheel
* P-2
* Rear lip spoiler
* Park asst
I know the TT DFI engine is well worth the wait but after spending time in the '11 today I really don't need any more power (although I'd really like it
)and may be sorry I didn't/couldn't wait.The six spoke AMG wheels are part of the package on the 550. The five spoke AMG wheels are part of the package for the 350. I have seen dealers move them around because a customer has a preference and the dealer figures that next buyer won't notice.

For 2010:
All coupes, 350 and 550, only when equiped with "appearance" package, had 6 double spoke AMG wheel
All sport sedans, 550 as standard equipment and 350 only when equiped with "wheels" package, had 6 double spoke AMG wheel
For 2011:
All coupes and convertibles, 350 and 550, only when equiped with "appearance" package, have 5 double spoke AMG wheel
All sport sedans, 550 as standard equipment and 350 only when equiped with "wheels" package, have 5 double spoke AMG wheel
If someone saw anything else, then:
A. coupe and convertible did not both have "appearance" package
B. dealer might have swapped the wheels but, having intimate knowledge of dealer operation, its very unlikely for a brand new untitled car, as it is clearly stated on car's sticker what kind of wheels car is equiped with, including options
C. coupe was 2010, but convertible obviously 2011.
That's not what I've heard from goood sources which was also confirmed from the owner of the dealership...where did you get this info from?Thnx
PS The hp will be just over 400 and more importantly the torque will be close to 450 lb ft! a big jump.

What I'm saying though is that, the 6 double spoke AMG wheels are no longer used for any US bound 2011 E class (regardless of the body style or engine) from the factory, they use the 5 double spoke AMG wheels instead. The 6 double spoke AMG wheels were exclusive to 2010 model year only. I suppose it is possible, unlikely but possible, that some very early build 2011 MY cars somehow were still equiped with "old" wheels instead of "new" wheels.
Anyone here with 2011 E class (regardless of body style or engine) who bought car brand new from MB dealer containing appearance package, has 6 double spoke AMG wheels instead of 5 double spoke AMG wheels? If so, what does it say on your car's sticker under appearance package description?
