Daytime Running Lights
Hi People
A friend of mine owns a eclass coupe 2009 which was one of the first.
he has the hockey syle led lights however even with the daytime running light option swtichedn to on within the cluster display they still do not come on in the day.
i believe this was changed on the latter models in 2009 but does anyone know what module is requied so he can have this working.
please advise

That's weird. Are you saying the DRL doesn't work at all?
My E350 Coupe was manufactured 06/09 and it's a MY10. I believe it's one of the first too. The first few months I got it, DRL turned off as soon as the headlight was on. I took it back to the dealer after I realized it and they re-coded it under warranty. Now it comes on as soon as I start the engine and deems (but still on) when the headlight comes on.
I know for some countries/areas the DRL is set to turn off when the headlight is on, like my did. But doesn't come on during the day seem to beat the purpose and definitely something wrong. Suggest your friend to visit the dealer and should be just a software update.
