comfort v sport suspension

Considering E350 v 550 and E350 sport v comfort suspension.
I'm not that aggressive, but I like to occasionally drive California Hwy 1 south of Monterey. When I want to get going, I want to get going.

Is the variable button on the 550 for C-S really make a large difference?
I could just get a E350 with normal suspension. is it too soft?

A test drive isn't the same as driving one everyday.

If the comfort is comfort, rather than just a little less stiff, the E550 may be worth the extra few thousand. The hp and torque do not hurt, but the 2012 E350 should be just fine.

Hitting the Sport Button on the 550 makes a big difference and its not just the suspension. The engine response is noticably more aggressive (To MBUSA: it should stiffen the motor mounts as well) and the steering quickens. The active suspension is also much more flat in a turn and has better feedback.

Thanks. Do you find the comfort mode in fact comfortable, or just less stiff than sport? I don't want the BMW stiffness.

Comfort is floaty by BMW standards, and MB Sport is not as stiff as BMW Sport either.
