2012 E350 C Oil Level
Newbie Question--page 275 of my 2012 E350C owners manual states, "...the vehicle consumes up to 0.9 qts. of oil over a distance of 600 miles". Is this an error, or is high engine oil consumption normal for MB?

I also read that and was quite surprised when I did.
I'm not sure if the design of the new direct injection engine has anything to do with it or if it's just MB giving us a worst case scenario. The CLK I traded on the new car never needed one additional drop of oil between changes.
Perhaps others here more knowledgeable can comment. I'm as curious as you are.
Otherwise, we shall see what happens as the miles accumulate.
