Hi,

im trying to find out where to get a black grille like the one on the brabus e-class for my 2009 E350 coupe sport http://www.brabus.com/en/raster.php?...sub=2&id=16565

Ive seen lots of black ones on ebay etc but with the star, i much prefer the ones with more bars across and no star like on the brabus. Will Brasbus sell styling kit parts seperately or is anyone else selling similar?

Another option is to get a grille off a 4 door E350 as these dont have the star either and paint it balck - but would it fit the coupe? And does anywhere sell them as everywhere selling e-class grilles only seems to have the coupe looking ones..

Sometimes the grilles like that which Brabus fit to the full conversion cars are quite literally only available for them and they don't usually sell them as just a part. It's not available in the catalog for any region as far as I'm aware (if it was I'd have ordered one by now) but the only other thing you could do is contact Brabus directly and try to convince them to make one for you but it won't be cheap as they class them as "show" grilles.

Only know that because of someone who was looking for a badgeless grille for his ML - which had a Brabus conversion done but not from the factory (bought in bits and done as a project) only thing that was left was the grille, which they didn't want to remake for him as they had a limited run but those went on the full factory conversions and "show" cars.

Yeh have seen a few of these about, im after one without the star though ideally but looks like there isnt an option for that as the start-less ones from the 4 door wont fit apparently and nobody makes them aftermarket I can find yet without the star...

Just remembered, Lorinser do a badgeless grille but it doesn't look as nice as the Brabus ones...

can anyone confirm whether the 2009 E350 coupe sport is W212 / C207 / W207? I am finding the same cars under all 3 codes when googling!

No such car - 2009 E350 coupe. E coupes where introduced for 2010 MY in 2009 calendar year.

W212 - E sedans only from MY 2010 on.

W207 or C207 - E coupes from MY 20101 on.

BTW, google is not an exact tool.

Ok fair enough, there are lots and lots of E350 blue efficiency coupe sports for sale from Mercedes themselves that say 2009 - but maybe this is for the reason you said. Either way It is an E350 coupe sport

So is the car above a W207 or C207?

I know google is not exact thats why i posted on here and said in my post that it gave me spurious results :-)

I'm US based. There was no such car in NA.

E coupe was introduced in NA as a 2010 MY in June of 2009. I do not know about your location (the car you refer to was not NA destined). If indeed it is a 2009 MY E350 coupe, then it is W207 or C207 - there's no difference as some refer to it as W207 (like me - bad habit from W208/W209) while most (MB included) as C207.

My dealer can get those grilles from Brabus for 2500 EUR.
Does it look nice on our E coupes? ABSOLUTELY!!!
Is it worth it? ABSOLUTELY NOT!!!

shame the ones from the 4 door e-class dont fit on the coupes as i could just get that painted
