AMG Steering wheel

Hey guys and gals, my dealership put me in a new C Class loaner when I went in for service. The car had a flat bottom AMG steering wheel. I really like the size and feel of the wheel. I have a standard sport wheel on my Ecoupe it felt like a truck drivers steering wheel after.

Hopefully someone will be able to help me out, but I wanted to know if the AMG steering wheel is smaller than the standard wheels and if the newer steering wheels are smaller than older ones, ie. pre-2012 models. Thanks.

Yes to the AMG question, it is smaller and yes to the OEM pre-2012. I had a 2010 C350 and a 2011 GLK350, they all use the same parts. With the new spoke design for 2012, they've decreased the size slightly.
