News: exhaust for '12 E550 Bi-turbo
If you're interested in aftermarket exhaust for the V-8 Bi-Turbo E class, see the clips below from PM's with Rob/Vivid Racing.
"
I guess there's not enough demand, but it would be great if someone offered a larger diameter exhaust system for the V-8 Bi-turbo engine in the '12 E coupe. According to RENNtech, this engine dyno'd about 460 hp (stock).
Dueclaws"
"Meisterschaft is doing development for their new E550 with the v8tt stuff now, eta about 2 months to us soil. I'm waiting for one for my CLS63....
Rob"
Thanks Rob! Is it OK to share the information about the new Meisterschaft stuff on the E coupe forum?
Yeah you can post that I'll try and get you some pictures soon. I think they are going to do it with valves and a version without valves. Should be similar pricing to the 2010 E550 coupe that they offer."

browse from the beginning of this thread you'll see where the information was posted originally. You should also find a dyno chart from RENNtech that shows the wheel horsepower stock and with their ECU tune. I believe at the bottom of their chart is the factor they used for driveline losses.

Is this what you're talking about bro?

If so that's awesome. But why would MB underrate the car by 60hp?

I think MB quotes the performance in a range of RPMs to 'lower' performance figures so it does not seem so close to the AMG numbers. Not really sure but the wide range of performance but probably to make it seem a bit more tame.
402 hp @ 5,000-5,750 rpm, no peak number.
443 torque @ 1,600-4,750 rpm, again no peak number.
Renntech tested several cars and posted the peak numbers.
I've had mine since January and the thing is awesome fast. My friend with an '07 E63 AMG loves driving mine and thinks its better in a lot of ways, including speed.
I'd still like mine to be a current gen AMG
