2013 e350 cabriolet
New here
Hi y'all
I just got myself a new e350 cabrio 2013 and there's no better investment than joining a forum like this one. I know I'll learn a lot here.
Thanks
Pierre

Welcome aboard and best of luck with your new Cab.
Please provide feedback on your experience with the car after you've had some time learning and enjoying it.
Many helpful hands on board here, if you need it.
Also suggest you keep an eye on the W212 Forum. Occasionally there are posts there that can pertain to our C/A 207's.

Pierre'
WELCOME!
I am coming from the BMW E60 forum, where I encountered almost EVERY problem with that series in my 2008 535XiT wagon (HPFP, Injectors, Battery, Carbon Buildup, etc.). I am still waiting for my sunroof drains to clog and fry the electronics in the trunk. Gotta love those BMW engineers.![smash](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/smashfreak.gif)
In contrast, very few topics in this forum are from issues with this series - its more of a "love fest" of owners doing mods.
I'm looking forward to many trouble free years in my (wifes's) 2013 E350 C4 Coupe - when she let's me drive it.

2013 e350 cabriolet
It's been a year since I bought my e350 cabrio 2013
Alright, report card:
Positive:
1- We truly enjoy it, rode top down 50 F to 100 F with either e-scarf or A/C. All enjoyable some rides were 300 miles +.
2- Comments on the look are very positive! that helps justify![Smilie](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
3- MB service is alright, coffee alright
Opportunities:
1- The dang windows behave funny, sometimes they automatically goes back down 3/4" after locking the car, passenger and driver side. Told the dealership and they can't reproduce it... I doubt that I'm the only one, Seems to be related to humidity, but can't confirm. These windows have a mind of their own.
2- The engine 'knock' hard after a cold start, did not do that when new, again dealer found nothing wrong...
3- The driver's door/windows rattles quite a bit, I think it related to the above problem, seems to have some loose window bracket or something, new 'feature' since last month. Did not go to the dealership yet for that one. They are like my doctor: "Well, you know, when we get older...."![nix](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/nixweiss.gif)
4- Sometimes the seats seems to be in an harmonic frenzy, like between 2 positions, you fell something moving a little up and down, then it settles, happens irregularly with seemingly no causes, Might be the ghost window ecu behavior bug gets to the seat adjustment subroutine...![Smilie](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
Conclusion:
We love the car, the 3.5L is plenty enough for what we do, miss the 'speedtronic' I had in the previous 2010 e350 sedan. Dealership setup is great, service is a black box, you never know what they really did...

Welcome back Pierre and thanks for the feedback.
Re the windows problems - try doing a Windows Reset. Check your Owner's Manual for the procedure. In my manual, it's buried in the section called "Opening/Closing" > Side Windows > Resetting the Side Windows. This subsection is followed by another called "Problems With the Side Windows.
Perhaps this will save you a trip to the service department.
Glad you're enjoying the car overall.

wellcome
i moved to 2010 E coupe from 2010 BMW 550i M sport , same here - bunch of issues including crappy SAP transmission
MB forum is totally different from BMW , here people dont talk about issues ( much less ) but about how to spend moneys on mods
i found coupe to be reliable with powerful V6 engine , transmission is smooth and P2 options is the way to go
the knows issues :
all kind of noises / rattles - need to lube front hood stops ( i did ) , fix rear deck with some felt ( dealer ) ,
still didnt fix all of them
front struts failure - if found dealer will replace under warranty , looks like related to 2010/2011
trust bushing failure - same as struts , wobbling on a HW
command system needs to be updated to the latest version ( dealer )
bottom line - MB builds much better cars than BMW . they really rocks
if you fix the small issues you will have fun and reliable car for a long time
still love my E39
