Just purchased this 2013 Cab yesterday and ready to start some modifications starting with rims. I would like to get some opinions on blacking it out and choosing black rims or staying with some chrome and going with hyper silver rims. Comments and suggestions welcomed.

 

With that color, I wouldn't recommend black rims. They just wouldn't clash well, so you should look for a nice silver set, it depends what you're looking for: oem look, performance wheels eg: HRE, Vossen, BBS etc etc

 

Thank you for the response. I have been looking at 19's in either HRE or ADV.1. Silver would be a good call with the all the chrome. If I go with black I will need to black out all the chrome.

 

No problem, I think 19" HRE's would look really nice. And some of the chrome you don't even need to black out, the strips of chrome on the doors can be removed by using dental floss.

 

Congrats on the sharp new ride I would vote for HRE wheels in silver and to keep the chrome trim from the panels for contrast

 

Thanks luvin the car and it seems silver should be the color. It's funny about a month ago I went to the HRE factory here in San Diego a received a tour. Looks like I will have to head back over there.

I ended up going with the SL AMG 19" wheels which are silver an grey color that match the vehicle. I will post photos when I get them on.
