8.5" and 9.0" wide wheels on '13 E550
So the wheels on my '13 E550 Cab are 18x8.0" front and 18x8.5" rear (AMG twin 5-spoke). The wheels on my '13 E350 sedan are both 0.5" wider at 18x8.5" front and 18x9.0" rear (same AMG twin 5-spoke).
I would prefer the wider wheels on the heavier, more powerful E550 and am wondering if I could simply do a swap between cars. Anyone know if the E550 could take the 0.5" wider wheels?

2012 E550 Coupe
I was bored so I looked it up.
2013 E350 Sedan:
245/40-18 on 8.5x18 ET 48 Front
265/35-18 on 9.0x18 ET 54 Rear
2013 E550 Coupe
235/40-18 on 8.0x18 ET 45 Front
255/35-18 on 8.5x18 ET 48 or 49 rear
Why the hell does the 350 sedan get bigger wheels and tires than a 550 coupe?
MB confuses me.

W212 OEM 18" wheels - 8.5" et48 front and 9" et54 rear - with W212 OEM tires do not fit E550 coup/cab correctly, but FYI will fit C207 E350 due to smaller calipers. Wheels would seat too much "in". We tried it for a customer - looked awful and produced some very minor tire rubbing on the inside.
Having said above, 10mm front and rear spacers (15mm could be used in rear too) - and it will fit just fine and will look good. That's what we've done.

it would be a good swap.. but the biggest factor would be the tires.
If the Sedan has Pirelli's.. having 265 in the rears for the Cab will be slightly better but not by much. Same for the 245's in the front.
Wider rim and crappy tire is not really doing much in terms of performance.
If you Cab has the Michelins.. keep those until you are ready to get Summer tires.

Hi threeMBs, old thread, but a quick question,if i went with the W212 wheels and 10mm spacers, could I get away with lowering springs too without rubbing?
