Convertible - Disable windshield air deflector
If there's not an official way to disable is there a connector I can unplug or even a wire I can cut? Unfortunately, I believe the removing the fuse for the deflector will disable the rear headrests going up/down as well.
Perhaps an "undocumented feature."But seriously that means there is some bit of code that disables the airscarf maybe in the engineering menu?
If you want to increase the height of the rear headrests then press the other button on the dash!!!!!!
If is rising on its own without pressing the button then it is faulty and will need to be changed, I had this fault on my second one and Mercedes had to change it, the UK price is £1200 so dollars wise close to $2000. If you do not want it rising due to the fault you have to take it to a Mercedes dealer and they are the only ones who can get it to go down.
I am now on my 3rd AirCap having another go faulty hence I know the price and the complexity......
