H&R Spacers and Lugs Questions
I had a local shop order 10mm spacers and extended lugs for me. I gave him the info which was 2010 e550 coupe with oem wheels and he ordered from H&R. What I got were 10mm spacers with 35mm bolts. He told me he ordered according to H&R and they said 35mm lugs were correct if using 10mm spacers for the e coupe. Just wanted to know if it was safe to 35mm instead of 37-40mm which most people suggest and are using on the forum. I am 2mm short from what is recommended (27mm+10mm) and getting a little over 5 full turns before torquing. TIA

These are such a pain to buy without trying. If you get 1mm too long, you could damage the ABS or park brake system in the rear. I'd want a minimum of 7 turns to be safe.
After I lowered the car and added spacers with aftermarket wheels, it took a few tries with different sizes to get it right.

I understand if the bolts are longer by 1-3mm, it may hit the ebrake in the rear. So maybe that is why H&R didn't send 40mm bolts. Assuming H&R bolts are quality QC items, my concern is 2mm less of bite into the wheel hub will be a huge factor.

be careful with bolts
based on BMW experience i got conical lug bolts but i was wrong as MB uses rounded lug bolts
All the rest is simple , 1-3 MM does not make any difference

Well my lugs from RAD came in and unfortunately the rear was ticking, but left side only. Took awhile to hand turn the front bolts, don't know if its because they are brand new bolts. Was so tight after 5 turns. The bolts i ordered were 14mm x 1.5mm R14 40mm shank. Seems i really need to shave off the extra MM.
