Oil in the intake manifold help

I have a E350 coupe that I noticed there is oil in the intake manifold.

Can that be a PVC (purge valve) ? As I noticed it was disconnected

Or

A gasket?

There's also a ticking noise coming from the engine sounds like a piston

Did an oil change (old oil seems clean).

Now I'm debating if the oil is a gasket or a purge valve before I start digging into changing a gasket

Any help or idea to run a differential diagnosis on the car?

Do a search using "purge valve" as your subject.
I'm pretty sure I've seen a thread on here or the other forum that discussed purge valve problems.
Sorry I could not be of more help.

Alright the purge valve is fine. The oil that was found might have been pcv. However those car when they are driven rough they tend to push out some oil according to a master mechanic. Since there wasn't much oil. I'm gonna keep an eye if I see more oil it's definitely the gasket (hope i won't :-()
