Passenger seat problem

Hi
Got a 2012 Coupe ande the passenger seat do not function right.
When i move the seat to the front like somone are ment to sit in the backseat, it is ok, but when i trry to set the seat back in place the seat moves all the way at the back end.
The drivers seat just moves back to where it was before i moved it.
This happens when i use this

Often the seat does not go back unless you hold the release lever open then push the seat back, I had a similar issue when I first bought my car but now know how to get it back to its correct position. I don't think it is a fault!!!!!

But shouldent it go back to the original position?
The driver side does!!
The seat slides well and just goes all the way back

As the seat goes forward on release it lifts marginally, when I first got my car it would go back to the point it lifts and then seemed to lock ie it had not gone back to its original position, this seldom happens with the driver seat but still does.
I found if I held the side lift lever up as I pushed the seat back then it would fall back to it's original position including dropping back. As I said once I understood this then I have not had a problem.........
