ESC not functioning, check manual...

Last night, my recently acquired 2010 E550 flashed this on the dashboard, while the ESC off indicator plus the ESC warning indicator illuminated. This was after a heavy acceleration from a low speed, and after the warning lights came on, the car would barley move and was in a sort of limp home mode. I pulled over, shut the car off and restarted and all was well and no issues this morning. I have seen posts regarding a possible faulty accelerator pedal. Has anyone here experienced this?

Thanks!
Carl

Yes sir, this did happen to me about a year ago, first Mercedes replaced wiring, the problem was still present. Took it back and then they replaced the pedal, was good for about a year, then the issue came up again. I guess some more wiring was needed to be replaced. As of about a month, no problems so far.
