Great brakes

Man, this car has great brakes. I mean, the stability and the safety you feel while braking at high speeds it is something very valuable. The brakes feel firm, steady. You simply do not have to touch them so hard as you would in other cars to get to what you need.
We all like lots of horsepower, and going fast and all that, but braking is so essential.
Note this is my first MB, so I don't really know if all or plenty of MBs feel like this way.
Also, as we all know, tires have an important role as well, mainly I would venture to say in the braking distances, and I have Michelins PSS.
What say you?

You must have a pre-MY2015 when they downsized the brakes. And the new brakes are not great, in fact they are poor. Now yes, Pre-MY2015 yes indeed they are great brakes.

Please post a picture of your brakes, so we can see what version of brakes MB put on your car. By the way, what model year is your C207? Thanks

My immediate assumption was that he had a 550 if was talking about great brakes because the 350's are endowed with the same 'meh' brakes as the '15 550.

Yes, I'm also assuming he's talking about a 550 and not a 350. Otherwise his post makes no sense from the brakes standpoint.

Not sure about what everyone else is saying, but my 2018 S450 4Matic hard stops can remove your fillings.

Here’s a fun video someone send me earlier:

[QUOTE=bdunn;9089945]...Here’s a fun video someone send me earlier:

First half of the video is arguably an impressive demonstration of the car's automatic breaking system, but I note that the car was moving rather slowly throughout the various scenarios. I'd like to see a similar demonstration with the car moving at realistic speeds, say 45 MPH in the city and 70 MPH on the highway.

Also, skip the last half of the video — it's totally off topic, just 4 minutes of the car driving around.
