Part # 2049011100 is not applicable to your vehicle with vehicle dynamics (code 483). Are you using MB Xentry (diagnostics) could be simple CU (passenger foot well) software upgrade or reset if not using Xentry visually check all acceleration sensors (may be 2 in front, 1 rear depending on production date) and struts. If need be front strut left 2073231300, right 2073231400; rear 2073204330, 2073204430.
I'm currently going through the same thing and ordered the part konigstiger recommended here and in my thread. I will keep you posted I hope that is the issue. I am also having the low voltage error but in the front left.

It is how I identified the error to be low voltage to the left rear lateral acceleration sensor. I replaced part A0055421218. Since replacing the part did not solve it, I thought maybe it could be a wiring issue like a weak ground somewhere. Anyway, I will wait to see what Dnasty's results are and go from there. Though it sounds like I need to go have the dealer perform a reset or check for an update.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but it did nothing for me as well was hoping it was the issue because it would have been the best 25 dollars ever spent. I just finished and test drove the car so maybe it needs to be off for a while but so far nothing changed... i'll check again in the morning. Not sure if this makes a difference but my error shows higher voltage.
I have a scheduled appointment at Park Place Thursday. Hoping for a positive resolution. I will ask them to also check for any firmware/software updates.
So after dropping my car off over a week ago and thoroughly explaining what I found and what I had done, my service advisor (who is an enthusiast and owns a pair of mid 2000's AMG cars) called and said the tech found the same code I did. He deemed the rear lateral acceleration sensor was bad. It would be $700 in parts and labor to fix. I asked if it was part number 005 542-12-18 and he said yes. I explained again that I replaced that part before and that did not solve the problem. I asked if the tech can actually test the part and the advisor did not know. He acknowledged that it would be unlikely that the part failed again if it did not solve the problem. I said that was my thoughts and which is why I originally suggested that there might be another problem further up the wiring that is causing the low voltage situation. He said he would go back to the tech and give him this information and see what he comes back with. If nothing come out of this, I will pay the $198 diagnostic fee and maybe order and replace the sensor again. It is less than $75 for the part and replacing it is only about a 1-2 hour job.
Update: After explaining that I replaced the indicated part with a genuine Mercedes part (like any aftermarket supplier makes a rear lateral acceleration sensor for a Mercedes), the tech did a computer reset of the suspension/traction control system. Why did he not do that to begin with? So far, that appears to have solved the problem. But, I only have about 25 miles on the car so far, so the jury is still out. I will put a couple of hundred miles on it this weekend. Fingers crossed. $189.95

I have been reading all the issues on here. I have taken mine to a specialist that has carried out diagnostics on my car and thought at first it was the front left level sensor. However after doing this, this was not the case and asked to bring it back. Eventually after bringing it back the third time he does not know what the issue is as my car is coming up with a lot of malfunctions for an unknown reasons and thought something might have been 1 single thing in my car causing all this. Could anyone suggest anything before taking it to Mercedes garage which will probably cost a fortune?.
Thanks. As this has been an ongoing problem, it was frustrating to me to not find a solution through online searches. For my other cars, google it and it is there. So, it was important for me to follow through. If nothing else, to provide a thread with a possible solution for others. As for my iCarsoft code reader, it is just that. For less than $200 I would not expect the ability to reset systems. But, given this experience, I may search for a more advanced and capable tool because I love this car.
Given that all systems in these cars go through the computer, the ability to read and reset or reboot becomes much more important. BMW built in reset routines (Hold the window toggle up for 10 seconds reset the window routines). Why did Mercedes decide consumers would not benefit from the same?

I used i car soft and am now reading 0 voltage on the left front level sensor. Earlier my voltage was higher than range. I’m thinking of changing this part just to rule it out before going to the mechanic. Does anyone know of the part number? It’s listed as B22/8. All look to be for Airmatic cars.
Out of curiosity does your sport light always stay on when you start the car or does it come on after some time of driving from a cold start?
I have now been told to take it to Mercedes as it’s asking for a suspension recalibration, but has locked the software out. Does anyone know what this means?, and is there a cheap way of sorting this issue?.
The sport button light and the E/S indicator in the display mostly went into sport mode after a few feet of driving. But more recently, it started in sport mode. But the fault was consistent on the scanner. What is the year and model of your Mercedes? I assume you do not have Airmatic.

Ok mine doesn’t come on right away typically after a while of driving. I’ve been trying to do different things to see if it will trigger it but can’t pinpoint it. Mine is a 2010 e550 coupe. It doesn’t have airshocks but it does, Have a similar sensor to the air ride cars (sits on the shock facing towards the street). I’ve tried looking for the part number for this item and only found used junkyard parts and not many. I’m wondering if they use a different part number now as I see a level sensor available for just about every other vehicle with Airmatic. Also the sport mode on my car lowers it a bit I am not sure if it is the same for the later models as well.

Yes that is correct part number and it looks to be an oem part. I believe this may be the replacement although it only specifies airmatic cars it names almost every car but the w207 including the clk.
I don’t know how the software has been locked out. But, it will likely take an expensive system tool to recalibrate it. But others here may know better. I do know that the more advanced these cars get, the more cost prohibitive it is becoming for independents and shade tree mechanics to keep up with the specialized systems tools required to access codes and do diagnostics and resets.

Yes the part is the b22/8 you have in your first image konig. I’ve been searching for this part but no luck Other than ones pulled from junkyards. The part number I just posted seems to look identical and is called a level sensor. I have ordered one simply to test this as it is another 25 dollar part. I will keep you all posted. Also konig I will send you the vin but even the dealership is bewildered about this part.
Well, I am glad to say that this part "A0105427717" has fixed the issue for me. it is the part from konig's first image labeled "b22/8". It is the same part that is on the airmatic vehicles but for some reason says incompatible with the c207. I ordered this part off amazon although the dealerpart is probably about 60 dollars if you want the extra sense of security. Yes, they are located near the axle just behind the shock and can be seen immediately after taking the wheel off. For whatever reason they do not have a relevant part number for this on the 2010 e550 model year and the oem part (or its number) that I have posted earlier seems to be out of production. The installation was fairly easy and requires taking out the whole fixture not just the sensor but the bracket it is attached to. All of this can be done by removing the wheel and just jacking up the side you are working on. I test drove the vehicle for about 10 miles (normally sport mode triggers after about one block of driving for me) and drove fairly aggressively without any auto turn on of the sport mode. I was also able to turn it on and off at will. The car drives noticeably better now even in sport mode. Not sure what caused this but i'm sure glad its fixed.. I forgot how comfortable comfort mode was it's been so long and I cant wait to see that extra mpg I should be getting now . Hope this helps guys. Thanks for everyones input here as well.
