Just an update. After the software reset, all continues to be good. No reoccurrence of the "stuck in sport mode."

It would fall off and since the computer can no longer mesure the movement at the wheel, it goes to sport mode the second you start to move the car. I lubricated all 4 little joints and used Teflon tape to compensate for the loose at my left front wheel. No issues since over a year of driving. I recommend that spray lube be used once a year so the joints do not rust and start to grind themselves.

I really need your help please been dealing with this issue for a year please email me

okay but how do we get the light off?
the light came on and stayed on after a jump start and the battery was low so I would imagine that was the reasoning, I changed my battery and still having the same issues. Now I did notice when changing the battery nothing reset, meaning of the radio stations, clock, service time, ect. So do I have to disconnect my battery long enough for that to reset or is there possibly another problem

I had the same problem with my c207 for a long time until one of the mechanics figured it out. The culprit was the ride height level sensor, its quite problematic because the arm attached to the sensor is plastic and prone to snapping. Unable to sense the ride height sport mode stays activated. Have them checked out. The revised part now features a metal arm. My mechanic was able to hold the arm in place with cable ties and adhesive. It was now been just over 18 months and still all good.

Need to have codes pulled using MB diagnostics may need to erase stored codes & reset or require replacement. Given work performed could be front right sensor 2045402017 and/or left rear 0055421218.

thanks. Took it to local mechanic - it was actually the right rear ride height sensor link that was broken. Even though no work was done on that wheel location.

Sensor is in tact. Although he is having a hard time locating the bracket on its own and is suggesting to build one or something.
would you be able to reference the part for the bracket alone?

Edit: Replaced sensor - probelm solved. Thanks

FWIW I've had the problem of being stuck in sport mode as well.
I fixed the problem several years ago and again just this morning.
The suspension sensor has a ball and socket, and I had the arm with the socket pop off of the ball joint.
Once this happens, the sensor can no longer get readings and puts the car in sport mode.
I put a bit of lube on the socket and a bit of teflon tape on the ball, fit them back together and viola, no longer stuck in sport mode.

pic shows the arm with socket and the ball joint.

Did the dealership do this for you? how much did they charge?

What if I drove using the paddle shifters (Manual) even when the car is in sports mode? That should take care of the late gear shifts and keep the car handling stiff! does that make sense?

So I gave the car to the dealership and they came back with a code C156F00 - signal values of level sensor are implausible on the left front wheel.
Apparently thats what is causing the code. Anybody else been told the same? What action did we take? is this code actually the cause of the car going into Sport mode as soon as you start moving?
