Mercedes e500 - Porsche 911
OK - First post from a new MB owner from down under.
I have a 2010 E500 (A207 with only 22k kms!!) with the NTG4. Was looking to try and go to NTG4.7 but having massive trouble determining correct parts (we are Right Hand Drive).
If you've successfully gone to NTG5.x are you able to share part numbers and a how-to?
Any help appreciated.

I have done 5.1 succsessfully but all things are new on the most line. So prepare for alot of parts if you had it from factory. Like AMP,TV-tuner,Joystick(idrive),Camera,Display, cables,Maps,Pin codes and so on... But it is SO worth it. I am SOOO in love with it.

SO even though I had all those components on the NTG4 it's a whole new upgrade for just about everything?

I may well cut my teeth on the 4.7, then.

You cannot fit an NTG 4.7 unit into an NTg4 car. It wont work.
There are many reasons for this. Firstly NTg 4.7 isn't supported in a 2010
car. Your existing peripherals such as DAB and media interface etc wont
work with NTg 4.7, you cant generate map pin codes in the car etc etc
Im sorry to be the bearer of bad news but you are wasting your time and
money on this issue.

Sooo!!!!!
I realy love the look of the facelift centerconsole and with the new "missing" buttons.
So HOW do I solve that wihtout changing the hole gearbox for steering column one???? Here we go.............

So I want this in the car....
Took the old out to compare the insides and they where of course totaly diffirent so some big changes had to be done.
For example the hole for the gear stick...
First test fitting after the hole was done.
Cut out all plastic in underneath the wood parts and testfitted it.
Cutting the wood panels...
Testing with a chrome frame...
And here all tesfitted inc aluminium frame to match all other aluminium.. NOT FINAL FITTED yet but you get the idea how it will turn out. And YES it is centered. Just the angle that fools the camera.
