I had the letter "P" light up beneath the gear selection display on the instrument cluster today, but soon disappeared as I accelerated from a stop light, does anyone know what that means, I don't think it's a warning display, but rather a function. Appreciate any input, thanks.

Are you talking about the "P" light associated with indicating the transmission gear position? If so, the car's computer erroneously thought it was in park for a moment. If it reoccurs, then either you have a faulty wire somewhere or you need to have a diagnostic run on the ECU. Hopefully it does not repeat itself.
No the "P" light is directly below the "N" neutral indicator, I checked the Owner's manual and there is nothing pertaining to that "P" nor does it show anywhere in the manual.

Your vehicle has a blue "P" that illuminates because you have parktronic with parking assist guidance. An arrow will illuminate to the left or right of the "P " at speeds of 15 and below when you are searching for a parking spot but the turn signal must be on for the side of the street in which you are searching for a spot. The white arrow will light up indicating that the vehicle found a spot in which your car will fit. Once that arrow lights up stop the car immediately put in reverse and press the "ok" button on your steering wheel and follow the prompts on your cluster display.Originally Posted by tak06

Thanks for that explanation, now that you mentioned it, my turn signal was on when I saw this blue "P" light. Love this Forum!
