HELP: Replacing position/parking lights between the headlights

HELP: Replacing position/parking lights between the headlights
So I've noticed that the position/parking lights between the headlights and grill do not match the Xenon lights well so I wanted to change them. For starters, they are not the W5W bulbs like the manuals says they are. They look like a little green chip. I'm having difficulty taking them out though. I was able to stick my phone down and take a photo.
Has anyone done this that can provide insight? Can it be done without removing the headlight unit? Also, does the front bumper need to be removed to remove the headlight?
