Sunroof Shade Not Enough Shade
It was also suggested to me to use that "silver Mirror" finish tint. It reflects the sunlight much better and the lighter color absorbs less heat
In short, get it tinted.

I mean... the panoramic roof is one of the features that your paying extra for, it doesn't make much sense to block it up completely.
Honestly, I've been driving this car for 2 weeks now and I constantly have the AC running with the blower on level 3 or higher. This afternoon it cooled off quickly and I felt like I don't need cooled seats in this car for the first time since owning it. My car is white with black leather interior.
Definitely get a quality tint. I'd recommend the top of the line LLumar 15% as it still lets light in but cuts out UV and much of the heat. I think 5% would be too dark.
I had them tint the door glass too. The dealer I bought the car from had removed tint from the doors (probably as dark as the rear glass 15% or so) so I had them done at 35% which I would like to do the rear glass in too as I think 15% is too dark personally. 35% all around looks great though. Anyway, here are some new pics.

I left the shade open all day yesterday and the car didn't feel overly hot when I got in it at 5PM to drive home. Temp was 90 degrees here yesterday afternoon when I left working the car was not parked in the shade.
I generally leave the shade open now.

I don't care for the C-class either. I love my E550 Coupe.
