Help with defective dvd lens
Hi. Happy owner of a C207 of 2010 E350 CDI
My problem is the autoradio refuses to play DVDs including original mint navigation disc. It reads audio CDs fine.
I tried a disc cleaner with some alcohol without success. I do hear faint clics when it tries to read DVDS, I am guessing g maybe the lens is fine but a problem with its motor?
Any solutions? I only need it to update my old navigation maps, repairing or replacing it costs way too much. Is it possible to bypass the disc for this update (usb?)? Is it easy to take the thing out and fix it myself?
