Sport Suspension

I have a 2014 E550 coupe. When I engage the sport suspension it doesn't seem like it changes the ride. Is anyone else experiencing the same thing?

Does transmission behavior change? Sport mode will change your shift points, keep higher RPMs, increase throttle responsiveness as well as tighten up ride.

Sport Suspension

I think that you got the Sport Suspension mixed up with the drive selector of Sport/Economy/ Manuel. Maybe I didn't make myself clear. I was referring to the Dynamic Handling button, which is sport or comport (on the right side of the console). With the button in Sport or Comfort there doesn't seem to be a difference. I know when I put it in Sport or Manuel (on the Drive program) there's a big difference. That would be the selector on the left.

That's right, on facelift E550 Coupes w/ Dynamic Sport the drive and handling modes are separate. On mine, the Sport button initiates the Sport mode of drivetrain as well as Sport mode of suspension.

For sport mode on suspension there is a noticeable difference (tighter damping, less body lean, harder ride, and sharper overall handling).

Oh yeah that's right they both have different button setup. All I can say is when I put it in the drive mode to manual I smile a lot.

There is a different button for Sport and Comfort for the suspension on the 2014 E550 Coupe. The E/M/S button just controls shifting and throttle response. There is a button on the other side of the console that sets the suspension between Comfort and Sport. I do notice a difference between the two settings.

The sport setting definitely firms up the handling quite well. Excellent to use when you're on switchback roads. Very noticeable compared to comfort mode on the same type of roads.

Sport Suspenion

I'm going to have them check it out the next time I bring it in, because I don't feel a difference when I just change the Suspension to sport. On my SLK55 AMG I can actually feel the difference and hear it from a stop when I change the suspension mode.

There isn't a huge change in sport mode. It is tighter over bumps and in turns but not night and day.

It is definitely noticeable. I can tell a difference on my E550 coupe and my wife's CLS550. Of course her car has the awesome airmatic suspension.
