C207 Grill and Hood Trim Options
I recently purchased a 2016 E400 coupe, which has a flat badge on the hood and a large star in the middle of the grill.
I'm generally a traditionalist about these cars; when I was shopping, a wood-trimmed interior (including the steering wheel) was a no-compromise must. The thought of carbon fiber or silvery plastic trim was simply not in the realm of possibility (please understand that I mean no offense to those whose tastes run counter to mine).
Similarly, albeit to a somewhat lesser degree, I find the large star in the grill on my car to be borderline vulgar (it conjures up images of gangster rap videos in my mind). I would much prefer a more traditional, horizontally-finned grill with the smaller and more discrete hood ornament.
I've just read through innumerable threads on this forum in which the perceived merits of grill stars vs. hood ornaments have been debated ad nauseam. The intent of this post is not to spark yet another such debate; I'm simply wondering if there are any other grill options for my car (without the large star) that could be tastefully paired with the traditional hood ornament.

You might consider a billet grille. Not many options for a facelift W207. https://www.carid.com
