trunk plunger springs, left and right

Just noticed the two, left and right, trunk plunger springs are broken. Looks like they push the trunk open a bit when you first unlock the trunk. I went to MB Dealer and they no longer sell this part which was $20 each side, they only sell the bigger assembly for $90 each. Anyone know where to get only the parts I need?

I assume you’re referring to 170 in diagram part # left 2077580304, right 2077580404. Check following online sources:

You don't need the plungers anymore. You can remove them. MB replaced with more powerful opener springs. Buy those and your trunk will open nicely with your remote. $90-$100 each side.

MB EPC & online dealer part sites do not show any part upgrades/replacements for 2011 e350 cabriolet.
