Hi,

I own a 2014 E50 Coupe. Love the car, hate the seats. I have tick thighs, and my thighs are continuously pressing agains the seat bolsters.

I'm thinking of solutions:

Different sea bottom cushions; However, with all the "mechanisms" (seat controls) I don;tthink it would be an easy sway
Change seats. What seats would work? I read here that 207/209 seats are interchangeable, but not sure.
Any input re circuitry involved in a seat swap?

This is a big enough problem that is affecting my driving an otherwise great car. The other day I drove a 2018 C300 and loved those seats; would they fit?

One possible option might be to find a good upholsterer and increase the seat bottom padding, but not sure if heated seats would allow it.

Hi, thanks for the suggestion. I will try that, although I would worry about all the air bags in there (it currently has the multi function seats with different air bags inside to adjust the seat). I was thinking more along the lines of changing the seats, but need to find out basics like "is the set track spacing from a C Class or E class?" In other words, what seats would I look for? From a C or E class? If the seat tracks are bolted down, would the bolt patterns match a C or E class? It's not like a super-pressing issue, but seat comfort is important.... thanks again for the suggestion.

I would think a body shop that repairs M-B would be able to help. In Milwaukee we have Prestige Auto Works. The dealer parts department may be able to help, but, it depends on the quality of the personnel. They may be unable (due to liability) to do a swap for you, tho. I have a 2015 E550 Coupe and struggle on longer drives. I thought the multi-function seat would be great; but, it's not.
A long, long time ago when bucket seats were rare, I heard the comment: "the problem with bucket seats is that not everyone has the same size bucket!"
