E350 Cabriolet relay question
o Windows open and deck comes up partially then stops.
o Hydraulic fluid is at correct level.
o Have tried disconnecting battery with no results.
Can anyone tell me where the convertible top relay is located? Can't seem to find this information anywhere.
Thanks for any help
Let's hope that this is as easy as the trunk partition switch having intermittently signaled "open", which would have made the top stop half way, and that disconnecting the battery for several hours will clear enough error codes in the soft top controller. The soft top controller has capacitors that enable it to retain fault codes for a few hours. Latent fault codes can be erased by either disconnecting the negative battery pole over night, or by disconnecting the negative battery wire and shorting it to positive (the disconnected negative wire, not the battery poles!).
The root cause may very well be missing spring action from the gas struts that keep the partition pushed against the partition switch. This is a very common fault in the A209 CLK-Class, and I assume that Mercedes has adopted the same design in the A207 E-Class, as the rest of the convertible top system is almost identical to the CLK-Class.

Any other thoughts are always welcome.

I assume it was not the trunk partitioner switch, because the display would say "trunk partitioner open" if that were the case.
