Exhaust suggestions for an e550 NA engine.

I've done the delete of secondary cats, x piped the resonator and am now just looking for a muffler to give it the right tone. I've tried straight piping and I think it's too unrefined at idle and at high rpms.. is there a happy medium here? I've heard a lot of people try to c63 mufflers but was wondering do they make any after market specifically for our car? I am familiar with eisenmann and those other brands and don't want to invest 2k into mufflers currently (I would if I could). But was looking for something more around $500 ish range. Thanks

I have dual Magnaflow mufflers on my NA 550 and I'm happy with them. Not loud nor quiet.

Thanks for the reply looks clean. Do you have any sound clips? Also how do you like that diffuser, I've been looking at that one and another one that looks more like a c63 with the ridges for the twin pipes.

Sorry I don't have any clips. Never took any. I love the diffuser. Really happy with it.

Yea looks great. Did you paint it or is it the same dark plastic as the stock. Also how much did it run you?

I found some used c63 mufflers near me at a good price and i'm thinking about getting them. The actual tips are cut off so there are no pipes on the muffler at all, does anyone know if this is an issue? I usually see mufflers with the exit tips and pipes still on them and only the back cut off. This does however make installation easier on the stock e550 coupe as I won't need to modify or purchase a new diffuser, they can likely weld on two pipes that fit the stock outlet. Heres a pic just wondering what you guys think.

Thanks! I left it as it came in the painted fiberglass. I didn't want the one in carbon fiber.

$207.38 Exhaust Tips
$443.33 Diffuser
$186.18 Magnaflow Mufflers
$280.65 Installation*
$1,117.54 Total

*Installation is just for exhaust. I installed the diffuser myself.

Might be tough to get the 2 exit pipes to go back to the one stock tip. Those look pretty big too so might be tough to fit in general.

I was going to have them weld two separate exit pipes. I think they should both be small enough to fit into the stock diffuser outlet as it won’t have tips.
