2013 E550 Coupe Paddle Shifters

Got a question that someone can hopefully help me with. Been driving the 2018 GLC300, and I am really loving the transmission. Specifically, how fast the paddle shifters respond. Almost instant. In my 2012 E350, the paddle shifters are sluggish. (Like everyone else). I'm wondering if the 2013 E550 coupe's manual mode button will have reactive paddle shifters similar to this car? Or will it at least have *better* shifters than the 350's?

I don't know if this answers your question cause you were asking about an e550 but I have a 2012 e350 with the AMG package and I have the manual mode button and my paddles seem to be very responsive but I don't know how they'd be compared to a newer glc. Nevertheless in Manual mode the car feels great and shifts as quick as a non DCT car could

That does help me a bit. I didn’t know that there were 350’s with the button. I’m pretty convinced that “M” mode works much better than the standard “D1, D2, etc.”

Yea it's a rare option it seems but u can find some with it. Another observation I made is that when I do the D1 D2 thing it only shifts up to D6 but when I put it in "m" mode I have access to all 7 gears

Yep. So then that will perform like what I’m talking about. Great. Luckily all 550’s come standard with the button.
