Help - Car cannot start

My car C207 cannot start this morning. The brake pedal is very stiff and cannot press down to start the engine.

What's wrong with it and how to fix it?

Thanks.

Remove the Start/Stop button and use the key fob manually?

Already tried even with a different fob.

Does the steering wheel unlock when u push the button/insert the key? If not it is probably the steering lock or EIS, common problem on the w204 and c207. When it happened to me I could hear a faint ticking when the button was pushed or key was inserted, luckily my car was still under CPO warranty and it was fixed at the dealership.

No. It did not lock. I suspect it is the car battery problem. When I tried to start the car, it would not crank, the headlights just flashed once.

The seat belt extenders on both sides extended out and did not retract.

My car just towed to the garage this morning. It was found out that the alternator was causing the problem.
