Brake Hold not working
Good morning -
I noticed the other day that the brake hold feature in my car isn't working. I restarted the car and it "came back" to life, but now it doesn't work even after a restart. Software? Fuse? Bad switch someplace? Any ideas?

How old is the auxiliary battery? There have been mentions on this site that the hold function relies partly or wholly on the aux battery. Replace both starting and aux batteries if over 4 yrs old.

Oh wow, well since I didn't know it had once, I'm going to go out on a limb and say never been replaced. I'll use some googling and see what I can find. Thank you kindly!

Has the starting (main) battery been changed during your ownership? Do some searching and you will find low battery (aux or main) can cause problems with HOLD.
Other than replacing the battery, the next step is to read codes with a M-B specific code reader. Or take it to an indy shop or dealer.
