2012 E350 cab TPMS in wheel or no?
Sensors are a part of the air valve and they do last 7-10 years or more I have seen. At some point if you are going to keep the car it may be wise to replace all of them at once while the tires are off etc.
Personally I had my tires purchased and installed by Costco and they do the valves as well and reprogram etc. I hope you are not going to a dealer, they will charge you a fortune..
Cheers
I recently went through the same thing with my Lexus SUV and it was a nightmare trying to special order tires and do them through Sams Club - it took several attempts - their programming tool was broken with no hope of fixing/replacing -ordered tires again and went to another Sams and they had no sensors with no hope of getting more - finally ended up ordering tires from Walmart - where they actually had sensors and the tool - it also ultimately saved money as the sensors were $29 each vs $45 at Sams - and the tires were also $12 less (each).
One thing I discovered is all these places advertise a price for a TPMS Service pack. Not what it implies - it does NOT buy you a set of new sensors.
A Bridgestone tire on our Forester developed a sidewall bubble and they replaced it under warranty "no charge". Its good to establish a relationship with a local business.
Mine on a 2013 car for example is the latter system and I can just change valves in the normal way when changing tyres.
