2012 E350 Convertible Purchase advice
Thanks,
Mike
We have 21,000 miles on ours and have enjoyed all of them. The car attracts positive comments whenever we drive around with the top down. If the history looks good it is a great buy.
Nice ride... Enjoy. I have a 2011 E-Cab and we love it. Have had no issues at all just replaced tires. It has never been to the dealer for any issues outside of recalls. Never had a code display etc. I only have 23K miles on it however.. So still new and looks as good or better since it came from the dealer.
I have maintained my own oil changes and replaced the battery of course.
Cheers,
Mike

Well I still have the original brake pads and rotors on the car. My wife drives the car and she has a pretty heavy foot with the brake. I will say this, the car has the least amount of brake dust created of all of my cars and that includes Toyota vehicles. Hence I would say that the original OEM pads and rotors are the best I have seen with the limited amount of dust for the weight of the vehicle as well.
With that said, you will get a lot of opinions about brake pads etc and which are better etc. Its the endless search for the holy grail almost... I personally do all brake service myself on all vehicles and found out its best to use OEM only do to the fact that there are so many aftermarket vendors to choose from and I have seen in a few cases that not all vendors make the pads in perfect exact dimensions of the OEM vendor.
Well hope that helps, or it may even confuse you.. But just my opinions..
Cheers,
Mike

MB came out with revised parts, to eliminate the issue in 2013 or 2014 IIRC. If you do need the service ( before the bottom end needs rebuilding ) make sure they use the updated parts
Check for the M276 TSB. Konigstiger can point it to you. There are threads on this in the forum...
