driver power seat switch not operating seat

driver power seat switch not operating seat
My lady came home the other day, said the seats stopped working via the driver door switch. Is there any testing procedure for the driver door seat position switch? What is weird, when she lifted the seat back to get into the back seat ( coupe) the seat did move forward. This tells me the motors work, just the manual control of the door switch is NOT working.
Do these 2010 E350 coupes have a communication system for the controls sending signal to a controller, the controller sends signal to motor? or is it old style, power into switch, switch sends power to the motor?
I will get out there today and see about any and all fuses are good. I don't think its a fuse issue since the seat will go forward / back when the seat back is lifted.

This happened to me on a w220 s550. I ordered a right passenger door seat control module used on ebay, and then proceeded to remove the door panel. I watched a youtube video to know how to do it and which tools required. As I was fiddling around trying to remove the nonfunctioning door seat module once the door panel was off, it started working again.
Apparently the connection between the module and the car's computer had become slightly loose and my attempt to disconnect the connection made that connection secure again... I'm guessing on that, but that's what I concluded. So I resecured the door seat control module, put the panel back on, and everything was fine.

its funny you mention this.. today I started off checking fuses... the #2 #3 up under hood are good. I had to pull them out to check them, my tester isn't small enough to poke the back sides... came back inside, started pulling off the door panel, got the front cover off and noticed it was like my Ram, door control modules. pressed a few of the connectors. Then i forget why, but decided to check the seat button again, and sure enough it moved as should... CRAZY... but i like it.

The driver seat forward/backward switch does not work, i hear the seat clicking, but not fwd/backward movement
The back part of the seat, and headrest, all work as expected with the door switches. passenger side is ok as well.
Would appreciate any help? Local mechanic is saying find a used seat, that vented, in gray, and replace it ... but thats almost impossible where i am
