I’m looking at a 2011 E350 cabriolet. This won’t make a difference in my purchase decision.
The build sheet says it has the Burmester stereo as an option but the front window corner speakers say clearly “Harmon Karden”. Is the build sheet wrong?
Burmester was not even an option in 2011; it came several years later, with the model redesign. My car is a 2016 with the Premium Sound option, and I have the same corner window speaker in the above photo. Honestly, I like the sound of the Harman Kardon system better than the Burmester.
That is a strange error - Burmester was not used in 2011 in any model - as the poster above noted.
I'll second the notion on HK Logic7 being superior in sound to the Burmester systems, as well. I've sampled the Burmester on the W205 C, the GLC, and the W213 E. My W212 HK system sounds better than all of those.
I think someone has replicated that sheet, and made a mistake. My sheet looks a little different and has a little more info on it.
