I had been driving the car pretty hard through the mountain highways. No problems. A solid bit of time after this I got wide open on the throttle. At probably 80-90, the car briefly “jerked” back. Almost like it stops accelerating but it’s a split second and it keeps flying. Not even half a second. Not sure of any other way to describe as I haven’t seen someone with the same thing I’m having. This is not between shifts. It would be mid gear accelerating.

Probably the throttle closing via software. Do you have a tune?

You need to put a tester on it and see if there are any codes. If the check engine light did or didnt illuminate there can still be codes.If there are no codes a tester that can monitor and record data,while you try to replicate the driveability issue.

I had kind of a similar thing happen while cruising the freeway at ~80mph. The car would jerk back and forth slightly and the rpm would jump around by a couple hundred. Mine turned out to be a slipping torque converter. Luckily it happened during my extended warranty period.

mine does it sometime, but for me it's the AMG fuel pumps I installed. For some reason, after cruising at steady highway speeds, I'll roll on the throttle to speed up and the car just falls out for a half second. I can repeat at will using part throttle and can make it stop by going full throttle...Not sure what the issue is, so I just deal with it...racecar life...
This is an issue seen by all the people(that I know) that have installed AMG fuel pump on 550 cars, E's and CLS's.

May not be what you are experiencing, OP, but I figured I'd share.
