Intermittent drop-out of L door speakers
2013 E350 coupe with COMAND 4.5 with upgraded Android screen from CKM.
I've been running the CKM screen for 1+ years and no issues with audio drop-outs.
In the past week, I've noticed the L-sided door speakers intermittent stop altogether. This occurs both with radio, CDs and audio through the COMAND unit itself, as well as audio streaming through my iPhone or the CKM Android unit. Moreover, when I open the car door, the audio returns and when I close (or otherwise tap on the L door tweeter), the audio stops again. This has led me to believe it might be a cabling issue within the door vs the fiberoptic link at the COMAND unit/Android adapter harness itself. (Using the fader functions, I isolated audio to the L front of the Harmon Kardon system for testing/diagnosis.)
Can anyone point me in the right direction here? Are my thoughts correct? Any help in further troubleshooting/diagnosis? Help with appropriate part numbers?
