Replacing the Bi-Xenon Bulbs
I called around to get quotes on replacing my bi-xenon bulbs, which were anywhere from $300-$750. The dealer ($750 quote) said the front bumper cover would have to come off. It is clear there is no way to replace them via the engine bay. I got to looking around and found access panels inside the wheel wells. Didn't even have to remove the wheels, just turn them all the way in the direction of the side you are replacing and easy access. It took my about 30 minutes to replace both, and that is taking 10 minutes to figure out how to remove the plastic ring around the OEM bulb that holds it inside the headlight assembly.

OEM is an Osram Xenarc with a color of 4300K. I wanted something a little whiter. I considered the Osram Night Breaker Unlimited (4450K) and the Philips X-TremeVision Gen (4800K). All wattages were 35W. I ended up going with the Philips because it was a bit whiter. I just put them in last night and have not driven around much, but first impressions are positive. No blue tint at all, which I didn't want, and they are brighter than my 8 year old OEM Xenarc's.
