C207

I bought my car new in January of 2015 and it has today had its B service at 71,000 kms. I cant believe what a good car it is, nothing has gone wrong with it and the recalls such as the airbag etc have all been done seamlessly. I have never kept a car this long, my C63 lasted 11 months and my 991S 2 years. I had a loan car which was a new E200 sedan and it is beautiful with a plush and quiet ride but when you put your foot down there is not much there to get you going. Got back into my car and it was like a breath of fresh air. I have no idea what I will replace this with, maybe I just keep it until one of us dies.

I feel the same way regarding mine. Given the direction that MB and every other vehicle manufacturer has laid out for the future of ICE vehicles, I just can't see making a change right now. I've also get a mix of loaner vehicles here in the states when I go in for annual services. Yes, they all have more updated interiors, but the bottom line is when you step on the accelerator, there is really no there there.

Have either of you done any mods?...Like the 10.25" touch screen or a tune? I own a 2015 E400. I would definitely never want to step down in power. When the time comes I'll be looking at the C217 S-Class coupe.

No mods. I looked into the various ECU flash tunes, but honestly with the roads around here, there are very few places where one can open it up beyond 120mph for any length of time. We don't have the quality of roads they have in Germany with the Autobahn. Now that is a really fun driving experience over there. I highly recommend it, if you ever have the opportunity.

As for the touch screen, I'm not a fan of that slapped on look you would end up with in our vehicles. I've had other cars with touch screens and they work perfectly fine, so it that is something you're interested in it's OK.

Mine is stock standard and i don't really need any more power. It is obviously way less power than my C63 but it is more civilized and the ride is a lot better.
There are better looking cars, faster cars, ones that corner better, ones that ride better but it scores above average in all those areas.
Enjoy
