Adaptive High Beam assist inoperative

Hello, so my car is equipped with the adaptive high beam assist and once tried using it. The menu said its activated, the light switch was in auto and the stalk was in high beam mode. On the display, the logo was showing it's on but the car didn't turn on the high beams, that was when there were no cars around and on a open road. Can someone tell me if they had this type of problem and if/how they did fix it?

in my car it tends to take a few seconds before it then goes to high beam. I must say it works perfectly

I leave it on all the time and, as noted above, it works perfectly. When it detects what it perceives to be another vehicle's head or tail lights, it drops to low beams; as soon as the perceived lights are out of view, it switches back to high beams.

Certain minimum speed to get t High beam I think 20 or 25 mph.
also goes to low beam when you stop.

Wish manual explained better how it works

hey on the Stalk of the turn signal high beam push the Stalk forward instead of back like how u would do high beams on. when u push the Stalk forward it should come up with a icon high beam with a A on it and that will be automatic high beams on. see if that works.

The function is engaged, on the screen the beams with the "A" has appeared and still nothing. Been driving at night with little to none outside light, at speeds upwards of 40 mph. Thought the camera is dirty so i cleaned it... nothing. I guess it needs some calibration or maybe coding?

Can you force high beam on when you pull the stalk towards you?

Yes, pulling the stalk turns the high beams - flashing them

Then the only thing I can think of is that the light pattern has been switched from right-hand traffic to left-hand traffic (or vice-versa depending where you live) because that also causes the auto high beam not to function (as far as I remember, but this is not a certainty - just trying to troubleshoot and help )

Edit: should mention that this is also done through the menu screen in the speedometer cluster.
